Rent vs Rent Affordable by Household Occupations Bedrooms
Description
HR&A has estimated household incomes based on occupational median annual salaries and the number of workers in each household. Household income levels relative to the area median income (AMI) are based on household income and size. Affordable rents are calculated using the 30% price-to-income standard and are compared against the median rent for the minimum number of bedrooms needed for a maximum of 1.5 persons per bedroom. The supply per demand is calculated based on the affordability of rental homes by income level and bedrooms as compared to the number of renter households at that income level with those bedroom needs; occupation is shown only to put a face to income levels and is not used in calculating supply per demand. Dollar values are nominal.
